13TH OCTOBER, KHARTOUM PLACE, AUCKLAND
Celebrate Late Night Art with Late Night Dining, a pop-up arts festival in the newly renovated Khartoum Place, in the heart of the city's arts precinct.
Grab some eats from some of Auckland’s favourite purveyors of food - The Roaming Dive, Besos Latinos, Box of Bird and Toro Churro will all be dishing up their specialties and 95bFM DJs will be serving up chilled out tunes.
Here's a sample of the delicious eats that will be on offer:
- Besos Latinos will be serving their tasty arepas (stuffed corn cakes) and quesadillas
- Toro Churro will be offering their famous churros (of course) with a choice of chocolate or caramel sauces
- The Roaming Dive will be serving up their famous truffle parmesan fries along with a menu of delectable eats
Enjoy an artful live performance by Fledglings, the pint-sized experimental wing of the larger flock of musicians, the Blackbird Ensemble. Fledgling tests the waters for interesting and experimental covers tackled by its larger counterpart, and also new material by Blackbird creator and composer Claire Cowan. The band is made up of Tristan Deck on drums, Tom Dennison on bass, Mikey Brown on vocals and synthesizers, Charmian Keay on violin and Claire Cowan on banjo and keys.
Free Drawing Club sessions (we'll supply pencils and paper too!) will be running across the evening.
Once you've had your fill of eats, tunes and sketching, why not head out into the wider arts precinct to explore some of the brilliant exhibitions on show in the galleries open late for the evening!
